Founding Chair

In 2006, a small group of African American State Committee members recognized the need to ensure equity and parity in the identification and support of African Americans seeking leadership within the Democratic Party.  Therefore, they established the PA Democratic State Committee Black Caucus.

Our goals are very similar to those of the CBC in that we wish to advance the black community by:

  • Identifying and developing leaders
  • Informing policy
  • Promoting economic development
  • Organizing events raising political awareness
  • Increasing voter education and participation
  • and Provide a venue for the discussion of issues germane to the African American Community.
