Danielle Shakelford
Danielle has been the Treasurer of the Lehigh County Dems and brings great experience to the team.
Michael Keys Secretary
Michael Keys is Secretary of the party and brings a wealth of experience serving as a city councilman in Erie county.
Denise Rhodes Vice Chair
Denise is the former secretary of the caucus and brings a wealth of knowledge working with youth in her community.
Michael Laws Chair
Michael Laws brings a wealth of technical expertise and political campaign experience to the party. Michael served as Vice Chair of the Black Caucus.
Our VISIONs
The Black Caucus’s goals are to strengthen the influence of the community by electing more black leaders to office and to encourage active participation through training in fundraising, messaging, and getting out the vote for Democrats. Our members are committed to advancing the ideals and values of both our party and our community.

The Black Caucus of the PA Democratic Party is responding to the War in Gaza
The PA Black Caucus is calling for a cease fire and the end of hostilities from both Israel and Hamas. The late Dr. Marin Luther King inspired the PA Democratic Caucus position. He wrote from a Birmingham jail “That and injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere’. We sympathize with Israel who endured an unprecedented attack on its citizens on October 8th and had civilians taken hostage. We also sympathize with the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who are displaced and the tens of thousands of women and children who have been caught in the crossfire.
It is the hope of The PA Democratic Black Caucus that Israel and Hamas work with the international community to bring this conflict to an end.
